Thank you for visiting my site. As you might imagine, I spend a lot of my time reading children’s literature. I have fallen in love with sharing my favorite stories with my kids and students. There is something truly magical about a child getting lost in a good book.

See You Later, Alligator
Looking back at my childhood, one of my fondest memories includes spending the day with my grandma. I do not recall a single instance that I left her house, and she didn’t walk me out, stand on the porch, and wave goodbye as I rode away. She would often chant, “See you later, Alligator.” To which I was supposed to reply, “In a while, Crocodile.”
This always seemed silly to me, but it was something special we shared.
See You Later, Alligator follows a boy named Billy who, much like me, is entertained by his grandma’s silly goodbye sayings.
Read along as Billy imagines actually being the animals that his grandma calls him.
